He worked in Section 7, the Perimeter guard of the battery as machine gunner. He was awarded four battle stars including in the Ardennes and Northern France. His battery was attached to the 106th Inf. Div. during the Bulge near St. Vith. He was also attached to the 7th Armored Div. at times.
