Mr. Bawkey trained as an anti-tank gunner before he was sent to a repo depot and assigned for the Vanganoe Invasion. He was injured while diving off a ship during reloading tasks following the securing of Vanganoe. He was sent to various hospitals until he returned to his unit in time for the Lynguayan Gulf Invasion where he was on the front lines for 29 days straight.
