Mr. Bradshaw performed duties as radar operator in the South Pacific. The Alkaid was transported supplies for the US Navy throughout the South Pacific including 84 ports calls in addition to service with the "Magic Carpet Service" participating directly with two campaigns including Iwo Jima and Okinawa.
