| She graduated high school in June 1941. While working in a Bowling Green Cafe she heard the news of Pearl Harbor and told how a group of soldiers in the cafe were upset that they had to report for additional duty. Within 6 months, she had gained employement at the Sylvania Corporation in Fredericksburg in the company lab where she worked for the remainder of the war. |
