| Mr. Butner was inducted as a paratrooper. After numerous training jumps, he endured an accident while jumping that incapaciated him for paratrooper service. He was attachd to headquarters and served faithfully in the Army of Occupation. Later he re-enlisted during the Korean Era, and finally served with MACV in South Vietnam specializing in military intelligence.
