| Mr. Cole arrived in Germany and was quickly assigned Loadmaster on C-54 Transport aircraft flying into Templehof Airbase, Berlin during the height of the Airlift in 1948. After 1 month duty and over 50 flights, he was transferred to the Hannau Supply Depot as a supply clerk for the newly created United States Air Force. |
