"Just to get out and go!  Without having to plan ahead.  That's what brought on this.  Saturday, we decided to just get in the car and go, without any definite plan in mind.  So we headed south toward Fayetteville early Sunday morning.  Got there sometime around noon.  First stop was here, at the old slave market in the center of town, frond and side views of which are shown on this page."  Dad's description of this trip began a lifetime of "get out goes" as I remember many days of traveling near our home in northern Virginia.  Notice the Harrell auto in foreground of lower picture.
