He served in CCC during late 1930s for 2 years. Moved to St. Louis where he worked in a gun stock factory for about 6 months before being drafted. Was on from lines in Italy when injured on left leg when a gas stove exploded. Pfc. during the World War II but remained in the service following the war serving in various posts including Germany until retirement in 1963. |
