Mr. Kline served in SeaBees in the Solomon Campaign participating in the invasion of Bougainville. His third invasion was at Okinawa where, while searching a Japanese cave was wounded by rifle fire on May 11, 1945. His specialty was explosive disposal, an all voluntary detachment within the Construction Battn.
