| Mr. Ravenscroft enlisted in the US Navy from 1947-50 when he was discharged. After a few month, he enlisted in the US Army infantry and sent to Korea. After 26 days in Korea he saw his most intense action on Hill 800 north of the 38th Parellel recieving a mortor shapnel wound in late Sept. 1951. He had 9 months of combat before ending his tour and then one year of occupation duty in Iceland. |
