Mr. Malhoit signed up in hopes of becoming a Naval Aviator but was delayed with the V-5/V12 program and sent to schooling. Following the war, he served in Japan with Admiral Joy's staff and also worked with moviemaker Capt. Ford's documentary "This is Korea". He was pictured as part of that film.
