George Newsome's primary duty was surveying and mathamatical computations for artillery fire support. He landed in Normandy D+3 and was in the leading elements in St. Lo, Rhineland, and Rhur before pulled off line due to an alergic reation in his uniform. He experienced a close call in Liege Beligum from a Buzz Bomb attack.
