Mr. Silzer was a fighter pilot assigned to a P-51 combat sqadron in the CBI theater of operations. He is credited with one bridge destroyed and many ground targets in China. His entire flight log is included in the pictures. His plane was only hit once and he was able to safely land on that occasion.
