Mr. Thompson was detailed working on Oxygen filling motor repair in Mississippi before attached to army airforce security at Biggs Field. Later he shipped to Hawaii and then to Saipan, serving guard duty during the fighting. Later, he was shipped to Okinawa as Construction Engineers building roads. After a brief time discharged, he re-inlisted and served 11 years. He served in Korea as drill Sgt. and was commended for good service. |
