to An Antonio Aviation Cadet Center latter part of September 1942.   Failed flight physical due to fainting, and was re-assigned as a private in October as permanent personnel, same base.  Assigned to work in the base photo lab.

Entered U.S. Army Air Corp, April 23rd, 1942.  Reported to Ft. Bragg NC for duty after 4 month leave August 23rd, 1942.  Was granted extra leave due to father's death August 25th, 1942.  Finally reported as an Aviation Cadet
